morsel of thought

Sometimes the world doesn’t seem big enough
For the infinite complexities and workings of a human mind
Treading a path of confusion and brooding fury
Engulfed in the sea of dark, devious woods called mortality
I feel my sanity wearing thin
With one hand
Desperately hanging on to straws of reason and comfort
The precious few loved ones of this pathetic and timed existence
Yet with the other
I’ve done nothing but lashing out hurtful words and raging accusations
Hurting our loved ones
Tis one thing we excel at, among many others
